The Future of Video Production
The world is changing...and so is video!
Today's world craves video content. Take for instance how YouTube has become a primary marketing source. It makes sense considering that consumers watch approximately 500 million hours of video on YouTube every day. And YouTube is just one among the many video platforms available. These figures are an indicator of the increasing appetite for video.
As demand for content increases, so will production of content and a marketing-centered focus around motion picture. It is safe to say that video production has become an integral part of both small enterprises and big businesses. What does video production look like in the future?
4K video production
4K video is taking over the film industry.
The quality, the definition, and specificity of the 4K resolution make it desirable. But, in order to shoot in 4K, you must have equipment that processes 4K images. Computer hardware, cameras, projectors all will need to upgrade to handling 4K resolution. Netflix and YouTube both accommodate 4K video, in a big step towards the future of film. HD still reigns as the most compatible resolution, but the film industry is slowly changing to shoot in higher resolution.
4D video production
4D is not new technology. The first commercial 4D film movie was Sensorium in 1984. However, 4D has been making waves in video production. 4D effects are physical effects.
These physical effects occur at specific times during a video. The effects include:
- Smoke
- Lights
- Wind
- Vibration
- Smell
